RN Interventional Radiology-Full Time (1 DAYS & 1 EVENINGS)-Gainesville FL

Shift: 3x12 Hour Shifts (On call is required 5 days on call per month)

Must be within 30 min of hospital to take call

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology is a critical procedural area that services all patient populations of the hospital, ranging from the medically stable to the critically ill. Patients come to our department for evaluation and treatment of disease processes while improving the overall quality of life. We are both a National and State accredited stroke program. Our team performs procedures under fluoroscopy, ultrasound, or CT scan guidance.

Nurses in our department work side by side with expert radiologic technologists, physician assistants, and physicians. We perform conscious sedation and critical care monitoring of patients during procedures at a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio.

Technology and product representatives provide innovative education that keeps our department on the cutting edge of extraordinary healthcare. Our nurses assist with angiograms, a variety of drainage procedures, central venous access, gastrostomy and nephrostomy tube placements, y-90 mapping and treatment, TIPS, vertebroplasties, Stroke Interventions and so much more. Current license as a RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
2+ Years of experience as a RN in a Critical Care setting required
Will consider any candidate with 1+ years of recent CC experience (ICU/ED/ PCU/ IR/ Cath Lab exp)
Radiology experience preferred
Must be within 30 min of hospital to take call

Additional Skills:
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

Sal Range: $28/hr (1 year) $31/hr (5 years) $37/hr (10+ years’) depending on experience
· ON CALL: $4

SIGN ON: 15k 2 year commitment
