Emergency Management Director-Corpus Christi, TX
Shift: Full Time (No Weekends)
The Medical Center is a Healthcare system of hospitals along the Gulf Coast of Texas. Comprised of Bay Area, Doctors Regional, Northwest Regional, The Heart Hospital, and Northshore Emergency Center, the facilities of this Medical Center offer a variety of services to meet the needs of the community.
The Bay Area hospital offers comprehensive care, including cardiovascular care, women's services, Level III NICU, robotic surgery, and more. Doctors Regional has a focus on providing acute care through its emergency department, cardiac cath labs, surgical and orthopedic services, and rehabilitation.
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of Joint Commission Emergency Management Standards to facilitate a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Coordinate education and exercises within the organization to ensure an organized response during a disaster.
Responsibilities include the integration of safety and other relevant regulations, and 24/7 oversight of incident and event response.
Maintains knowledge of emergency management systems and processes to assist facility in planning, implementing, and managing emergency management improvements.
Maintains facility emergency operations to comply with the organization’s safety and the Joint Commission Emergency Management standards.
Ensures that all facility incident command centers are equipped with the appropriate systems to maximize the emergency management process during all drills or actual events.
Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to security or law enforcement from a recognized, accredited 4 year college or university is highly desirable;
Specific experience in healthcare security or law enforcement and Emergency Management at a supervisory or management level for at least 6 years required
Certified Emergency Management advanced specialist (ICS 300 or above) preferred
Current supervisory certification by the International Association for Hospital Security and Safety is desirable
Salary Range: $27.76 (1-5 years experience) $34.70 (5-10 years experience) $41.64 (10+ years experience)
